Adobe Captivate 12.5: Pioneering a new era of AI-driven eLearning!
We are thrilled to announce Adobe Captivate 12.5 with AI Voices, bringing our very first AI feature to the table!
And that’s not all. We have packed in some fantastic updates to make creating courses easier, faster, and more fun. From AI Voices that bring your scripts to life, to Web Objects for adding live content, and features like exporting your design settings, adding headers and footers, and using Adobe Fonts there’s so much to explore. Oh, and don’t miss the new Accordion Widget for layering information in style.
Let’s jump in and see how you can kickstart 2025 using all these cool features in Adobe Captivate 12.5.
AI Voices:
Say goodbye to monotonous, robotic narration. With Adobe Captivate’s AI Voices, you can now create, engaging audio content that resonates with your audience. It’s simple. Just type your script, choose from a variety of natural-sounding voices, and let AI do the magic. Whether you need a warm conversational tone, a crisp instructional delivery, or a voice full of enthusiasm – we’ve got you covered.
Web Objects:
Elevate your learner experience by connecting them to the vast resources of the web from within your course. Web objects are external web-based elements that you can embed into your Adobe Captivate projects. You can now offer your learners access to interactive and real-time resources of the web such as websites, web applications, videos, live feeds, or other web-hosted resources without leaving the course.
Header and Footer Branding Blocks:
Maintain a strong and consistent brand identity and give your courses a polished and cohesive look using branding blocks. The Header and Footer branding blocks allow you to display consistent branding elements, such as logos, taglines, navigation aids, or company contact information, at the top and bottom of your eLearning slides. You can also insert dynamic elements using variables to personalize the learning experience. These blocks are easy to customize, ensuring they align with your organization’s style guidelines and course objectives.
Import/Export Custom Design Options:
Creating eLearning content that stands out often requires customization, from personalized color schemes to unique layouts and branded themes. The Import/Export Custom Design Options feature allows you to export your custom design options from one Captivate project and import them into another. Whether you’re working on multiple projects within the same organization or collaborating with other designers, this functionality enables seamless sharing and reuse of design options, eliminating the need to recreate them from scratch.
Integrating Adobe Fonts:
Typography plays a pivotal role in creating engaging and visually appealing eLearning courses. You can now enhance your Captivate projects with Adobe Fonts, which is a comprehensive font library that provides access to thousands of high-quality fonts. Once installed, these fonts will be accessible under a dedicated Adobe Fonts section within the Visual Properties panel for any text block.
Accordion Widget:
We’ve also added a brand-new Accordion Widget. It’s perfect for breaking down information into bite-sized, clickable sections. Think step-by-step guides or interactive FAQs – all in one tidy place. The new Accordion widget allows you to present content in a collapsible format, providing learners with the ability to explore information at their own pace while keeping the screen tidy and organized.
Rename Text Presets:
Text presets are time-saving templates for text formatting that can be reused throughout your course. And we’ve made text presets more flexible. You can rename them to match your workflow, keeping things organized and stress-free. Consistent naming conventions make it easier for collaborators to understand and use text presets throughout the project.
Accessibility Enhancements:
You can now configure a global speech agent language for your projects. This feature streamlines the workflow by enabling authors to set the language once, while still allowing the option to override it for specific components. Global settings will not affect pre-configured elements, ensuring that any prior customizations remain unchanged.
