Alleged iPhone 16 dummy units showing off the rear panel’s design and color options have leaked in all their glory. The picture suggests Apple will return to an iPhone 12-like vertical camera setup on its upcoming non-Pro iPhones.
They also show the iPhone 16 in five colors, including pink and green mint shades.
iPhone 16 could use deeper hues for some colors
Alleged iPhone 16 CAD renders leaked in February 2024. Since then, multiple reports have claimed that Apple will switch to an iPhone 12-like vertical camera bump on the iPhone 16. The latest dummy unit picture further confirms this while revealing the color options Apple plans to offer.
The photo comes from a renowned Apple leaker, @Sonny Dickson, with a reliable track record. Based on the image, Apple might launch the iPhone 16 in white, black, blue, green, and pink shades. The blue, green, and pink shades have deeper hues than those on the iPhone 15 for a different look.
Remember that the final colors could look a bit different since we are looking at a dummy unit. Still, they give a good idea of what the iPhone 16 would look like.
While not visible in the picture, rumors indicate Apple will bring the Action button to the non-Pro iPhone 16 lineup this year.
Apple might reserve big changes for its Pro lineup
So far, all leaks and rumors point to Apple making big changes to the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max. Both models could get a 0.2-inch bump in screen size, with the smaller Pro variant also getting a 5x tetraprism camera. They might sport higher-capacity batteries with faster charging support, too.
As for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, they will apparently get a new A18 chip and 8GB RAM along with a faster modem for better connectivity.
